Well M.F.M. - Take 1 - Has been officially canceled by my wife. She was not very receptive to my propaganda, and promised stiff penalties if I was to forge ahead on this project. She also mentioned after the holidays, when our family visits were over, I could possibly reembark on this quest. To which I yelled a mighty, "Hazaaaaaah!".

Woo hoooo!!!! The adventures of growing facial hair!!!!
I recently started growing the winter beard. It's been about 1.5wks now and I'm just getting towards the end of the awkward early growth stage. The trick is to not get discouraged during this stage and shave it off. In the past I've used the "being lazy on vacation" as an excuse to account for this stage. Now i'm using the "being lazy it's the holidays" excuse.
Do not expect your wife to understand this early stage, as the trials, tribulations and ultimate joy of growing facial hair is a journey that only men can truely partake. Buckle down and trudge forward. As I've found with my wife, in the end she'll like it.
